Meet The Comp Safari Teams We Are Proud To Support

The Team here at Driving School HQ, all have a passion for anything off road and mud related.

So it comes as no surprise to most that our Teams all love to spend their spare time hurtling through the country side in the AWDC Championship.

This year we are proud to be supporting 2 Teams in the AWDC Ravenol and Britpart 2019 Championship.

First up we have the business owner Del Wheeler and his co-driver Kirstie Randall, in their beast they call Tilly Tank.

Tilly is your Standard land rover design, and one of the more basic cars in the Team, Shes 100" currently running 3.5 rover V8 engine With Fox Shocks on the front and King Shocks on the Rear.

Del, only started racing in 2018 for himself and unfortunately half way through the season due to a dramatic roll and Glanusk Estate taking him out of the running for the 2018 Championship.

However this didn't phase him and he worked through the night to get Tilly herself back in shape ready for His first Hill Rally in July 2018.  This event saw his now Co-driver Kirstie Join  the Team.

Kirstie Has 27 years of experience in the off road community and has been a welcome member to the team, Together with Del they have learnt how Tilly handles and her limits and from where we are standing have formed a good Team!!

Second Team we are Proud to support is Dai Hanson-Phillips, in Dirty Derv of a beast Titchy!

Dai Our mechanic here at the 4x4 driving school, started off as co-driver for Del in Tilly in 2018 until the unfortunate roll at glanusk. After this event Dai had gained the bug and knew he wanted his how Car for these events, Towards the end of 2018 Dai had purchased his very own Beast and came out for the last event of the season to test her limits.

2019 has seen Dai team up with his Brother Dayle to take on the championship and do us proud.

We are delighted that both teams did us proud in 2019 with Deal And Kirstie coming  7th overall and Dai 8th.

Well done Guys!!
